Over Thanksgiving, my wife and I had the opportunity to go to Amsterdam, Holland, for a teacher convention about student travel. Short trip, but then I've never been overly interested in visiting a place known for marijuana use and prostitution. I was, however, pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the canals, the fabulous art galleries, and the kindness of the people. Here is one of many pictures I took of the houses that line the canals.
